Our Play & Learn series at the Forest Hills Library concluded yesterday. We enjoyed getting to know the families that participated, sharing early literacy ideas and, of course, having lots of fun playing! Here are a few photos as evidence!
These magnetic blocks continued to be a favorite throughout the series.
Here, we are constructing homes for finger puppet cats and mice.
Even with all the other play options available,
a simple cardboard box was one of the most popular activities on this day.
|Batman was not the only hero in the room!|
|Playing with blocks was also building vocabulary, hand-eye coordination and interpersonal skills.|
If you missed this series, or want more Play & Learn, please join us at Central Library on Thursdays, August 11 - September 29 from 10-11:30 a.m. We will be in the Story Room on the third floor.
