Dramatic Play

Meet Martha, the newest member of our Little Read Wagon team. This week she is hard at work creating a fruteria stand for our upcoming Play & Learn series. Dramatic play is a fun and easy way to encourage dialogue with your child. They get to try new words and exercise their imaginations.

Check out this book for more ideas!

Everyday items can be incorporated into dramatic play. A memo pad can be used by a waiter taking orders at the table. A sofa becomes an operating table. Sticks and string can be used for fishing in the backyard. And an old box can become any number of things!

That fruit stand turned out to look incredibly cute! I love all the DIY learning and play things you guys make for the sessions.
