Beat holiday boredom: SING

This is the time of year when even the shyest among us can take our singing voices out of the shower and into the streets (or at least into the rest of the house). Christmas carols and winter songs are doubly fun when combined with dance or hand motions. Homemade drums and rattles also add to the festive spirit.

Older kids can sing along to printed lyrics, learning new words as they go. A photo flip book can be transformed into a child’s personal song book that contains both pictures and the words to their favorite songs. They can also expand their listening repertoire by checking out the Library’s vast collection of children’s music available online or at your nearest branch.
