Bottle Stamps

Open-ended art exeriences are a typical component of Play & Learn. Last week children were provided with empty water bottles, paint and paper. Here are a few samples of what they created.
The bottle base for a particular brand of water really appealed to this child who used it to make several green flowers.
Some children enjoyed mixing the colors, seeing how using more paint and forceful stamping resulted in some splattering. Others were more deliberate about creating a specific design.

A small amount of paint in a muffin tin helped keep the bottle stampers organized. Labeling each bottle with a designated color added a little more print to the experience.
What household items have you used as stamps or unusual paint brushes? We would love to hear your ideas!
