Summer of Reading, Play, and Learning

The San Antonio Public Library once again is offering a summer reading program. This year the theme is "Build a Better World" and brings many opportunities to explore how we can do this together. Sign up for the summer reading program at http://mysapl.org/Summer-Reading. There's an option for kids, teens, and adults! Then, be sure to check the calendar for all the weekly and special programming you could attend this summer.

Meanwhile, the Little Read Wagon team is getting ready to offer Play & Learn at two San Antonio park locations. Beginning June 13, join us 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Lake Park pavilion on Tuesdays and at Southside Lions Park East pavilion #4 on Thursdays. Questions? Although our summer Play & Learn programs are done, there's still lots of summer fun available with the San Antonio Public Library!

• Next, Tuesday, August 2 (rescheduled due to rain), join us for Movies by Moonlight pre-show activities at Travis Park. Then stay to enjoy a free screening of Aladdin.
• Saturday, July 30, 11AM-2PM come by the Central Library for SummerFest! There will be activities for the whole family.
• Wednesday, August 3, at 11AM visit the Mission Branch Library for a special All Around Us Toddler Time.
• Saturday, August 6, at 10AM go back to the Mission Branch Library for a StoryWalk® and more guest artists.

Summer isn't over!

Truly it seems that what we are used to experiencing as a San Antonio summer has just barely begun! While the temperatures soar, remember that the San Antonio Public Library has 27 locations where you can cool off with your child.

The Mayor's Summer Reading Program ends on August 31. If you haven't already, you can sign up at http://mysapl.org/srp/ or by visiting any San Antonio Public Library.

As the school year draws to a close, Little Read Wagon is preparing to shift gears. We will finish the Play & Learn series at Westfall Library on May 27. On June 11 we will begin another Play & Learn series at the Guerra Library. Please join us on Fridays through the end of July, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In August and September we will move to the Collins Garden Library on Wednesdays 10:00-11:30 a.m.
